The Aquasonic Iron Test kit is suitable for fresh & saltwater. Iron testing is important in hydroponics and aquaponics to maintain healthy and vigorous plant growth.

• Iron levels need to be carefully monitored in order to maintain lush, planted aquariums

• This test can also help distinguish between chelated iron, and non-chelated iron that may be toxic to fish in high concentrations

For aquaponics a chelated iron content of between 0.5 and 1ppm is recommended. For hydroponics aim for between between 2 and 3ppm.
